I'm going with a RED theme for the inside of my PC. I've got a red Abit NF7-S, a red video card, and I want everything else red too.

I've decided that I want to sleeve my PSU with red sleeving...anyone got any good ideas where I can get this stuff cheap? I like this kit from Vantec, but with shipping, its pricey.

EDIT: Links now work!

Please posts some links. BTW, do you think a fabric store might have something like this?

Also, where can I get cheap, but good quality red, round, 18'', 3 way? (1 MB, 2 IDE) ATA 100/133 IDE cables...I need 2. Please post link.

Next thing...does anyone know the best/easiest way to remove the wires from the 20-pin MB connector for sleeving purposes.

Finally...I need some ideas on making a duct that will go from the front intake to the CPU HSF...hmm, maybe it should be red too. I will probably go to Home Depot to see what they've got.

Thanks for your help in advance.

abbreviating links is deadly.

you probably wouldn't find anything useful for sleeving at a fabrics store, but you can try an art supply store. also, see if you can find those goofy things people attach to thier glasses, those might also work.

If you search the forums, you'll find that a lot of people don't like the Vantec kits, and really kits in general. Most of the time, people have found that they don't provide enough tubing for the size you need the most, and too much of the thick ATX sleeving. I think it'd be better to go ahead and get a general idea of how much you need and then buy it all seperately, who knows, might be cheaper that way. Also, I've heard that the sleeving in the Vantec kits is of a lower quality than a "techflex" kit avaliable from performance-pcs. Hope this helps and good luck,

I bought the techflex kit at jab-tech just so I could get the molex removal tools. For the most part all you need is 1/8" for the tiny wires and 1/4" for the thicker wires. If you want you can get a lil 3/8" and 1/2" but I havent used any of either of those yet.

I have only used 3/8" heatshrink tubing so far but you can also get a lil larger as well.

I bought the kit because I didnt know what I needed.

I also recommend going with techflex or vantec, anything else tends to fray to easily and like it was mention before, none of these people put enough heat shring tubing to cover a job. I recommend going to you local electronic supply store and purchasing extra tubing. Unfortunately they mainly carry black.

BTW...http://www.bestbyteinc.com/ has Vantec cable sleeving kits for dirt cheap with cheap shipping too...I just ordered them, and they were shipped out next day with USPS 2-3 day priority shipping.

P.S. There located in Houston, TX.
