How exactly does Liquid Nitro work? I mean it;s at about -127 degrees, so you basically don't even need a pumping system. Just a container that sits on your chip that contains LNitro. QhT kinds of metals would be suitable for the job?

Just to correct you a little, Liquid Nitro is -479F (or something close to that... i know it's -400 something) and like -237C. not positive on this but you need a pump to keep the liquid nitro a liquid....
That'd have to be one burly pump to work at -127 or -237 or whatever liquid N is:D:D
At this biotech firm I was interning at they didn't even bother trying to cool the stuff or keep it liquid- they had fresh new tanks brought in weekly. But all I did was answer phones so don't ask me why!:)

I read in a mag abt. how a guy covered his entire mboard in some special rubber, and immersed it in Liquid Nitrogen (It's -297c) Processor was at -100c or something, but other chips on the Mboard died, cos they didn't make enough heat to survive the cold...
Nice idea though.

just burn that N2O on your cpu and u'll get the fastest speed ever.......LOL:D
Somehow i dubt plastic would be out of the question, nor would you need a pump to keep it liquid.
Because when i was little i remember having a wart on my hand removed with liquid nitrogen, and it was kept in a little styraphome(sp?) cup.
If only i had sealed it, kept it somewhere, and then i could make use of it today :)
