im building a new intel pc and am planning on getting a pci-e card.. been tuned out for a while and i c people still using agp card. can anyone help me out here?

Yeah thats an excellent card for the price (the x800XL). If you wanna spend a good amount go with an x850xt (non pe), they are like $500 @ the egg.

i notice on the card in my link that my monitor wont be able to support it... most likely im gonna be buying an LCD soon or so ... but changing from the X800XL -> x850xt ... is the 170$ diff really that noticible?

Why will your monitor not be able to support it? I'd get the XL and spend the $170 on another GB of ram.

yea i just got the x800 xl and it has dvi and vga support so I don't see what the problem would be?
