AC97 problem

Got a PC-Chips M810LM mobo.
I couldn't set the sound chip to another irq.
Help! Sound goes crap after the modem is used...

this might sound stupid, but did you try setting the modem to a different irq?

the problem is...I can't change the the modem IRQ...
is there an bios upgrade for this board that allow you to change ANY IRQ? I can onle set IRQ 5, 7, 10, 11 on the MIDI and the VGA bridge.

Any more help, anyone?

Yes as u know my problem is similair - but its crap full stop. IRQs did nothing - i have no built-ni modem - my only suggestion is that we go out and buy new sound cards - cos I cant find any way of getting a decent sound.

I predict the next post will be: 'Why dont you try a BIOS update?"
