Nothing too special on the hardware side, that HD deal was a lot better last week :-/. The 9600 AIW might be a good price but you have to take a risk of a $50 MIR and CompUSSR is notorious for not getting back rebates from.

IMHO, CompUSA is one of the better companies when it comes to rebates.

I'm leaving now to pick up a few sale items and I trust CompUSA to rebate me. However, about a year ago I did have a problem getting a rebate from them and it was quite a hassel dealing with corporate to get it straightened out. All I remember is it was their fault and I had proof, which was the only reason I got my rebate.

compusa mail in rebates take forever imo. bestbuys are much better.

aside from the 9600aiw, there is a 20gb mp3 player on sale for 150$ w/out mir. the thing is its the rocbox and im not sure how good a player it is.

There's a 27" LCD TV, 12ms response time for 700 AR. Might be a good deal

If I could make them a cake from all the used cat turds from my litter box I would.

Can't stand these people and their refusal to admit they were defrauding comsumers with the silver paste they sold. (And refused to admit to it)

Well believe what you want!!!>.........

I got the 90 CD-r's for 9.99 (no rebate) today. Only deal I will be partaking of though. Better chance on Ebay in my opinion!

I was really tempted by the 100 DVD-R's for $20. Over at Fatwallet they have a thread devoted to the topic, and they are supposedly pretty cruddy. I'll probably look into the TDK's though. I've used them and had very good luck. Ah crud. The TDK's are DVD+R's. My laptop's a couple of years old and can't read the + media. I'll be going over to Staples, I guess. They've got 50 Sony DVD-Rs for $20 with no rebates.

They have both the TDK 50 pack DVD+R and DVD-R for $17.99.

The way their service has been, I would like to think that they have been drinking the whole time anyway. :D
