What is the rest of your system components?? PCI-E or AGP, DDR1 or DDR2. These are things we need to know to give you good suggestion.

Why not get a 650 instead? They have more cache and run cooler. Look around the forum, sentential has an excellent review up about them (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=368536). I havent read it all but i think one of his conclusions was 'its pointless buying an 5x0, get the 6x0' I'm sure he can also help you choose the best mobo.

You won't find a board yet that will do PCI-E, AGP, and DDR1 at acceptable performance. AGP will be routed through PCI, and dog slow.
You just need to decide on what you want, AGP or PCI-E, and go from there.

DDR1 and AGP, go with the Asus P5P800, Abit AS8, or DFI's 875 LGA775 solution
DDR1 and PCI-E, go with Asus P5GD1, which is a very good board. I haven't had experience with other boards yet so I won't recommend any.
DDR2 and PCI-E, just about any board based on 925 chipset. make sure it has the features you want, that's about the best advice I can give right now.

I would definitely recommend you consider the 6xx series of CPU's.

These are the boards I would also recommend.
For a 925 chipset go with the Asus P5AD2-E Premium or Deluxe. You want to get an 925XE board not a 925X board. The X boards top out around 260-270FSB where the XE boards are capable of a lot more.

I dont think I can afford a pci-e board at the moment it would mean getting new memory and graphics card, what do you guys think about just getting a P4 3.2 (what p4 3.2 would you recomend) and this board Asus P4C800-E Deluxe 2.0, this way I get to keep my original memory and graphics card

You could then go with a 'classic' 3.0C, because it fits the older P4 boards better. The P4c800 is good board with decent OC perspective, together with a 'C' series P4.

If you want to OC and keep your AGP vid card and keep your DDR mem, I would recommend the proc you had in your first post and a DFI 875P-T motherboard.

Good Luck!

Pretty much. As for a motheboard I'd go with an AS8 for DDR1 / AGP. Its dirt cheap and she gets the job done

The C series is the good ol' Northwood. 800Mhz Bus, 512kb cache and Hyperthreading. None of the prescott heat and current issues :D

(Pets his 2.4C Northy) I love my C series CPU. I don't plan on a huge upgrade til the dual core hit market and I see specs or til longhorn comes out. BTW little off topic but will longhorn have 64bit capibilities?

If you are already gonna spend the money on an Asus P4C800 then I would go with the DFI 875P-T like BigStan said. This will give you the flexibility of having the LGA775, but also staying with 875chipset, DDR1 and AGP.
