Guys!

I just got back my PC from the store, and they installed a 1.4 Ghz. They said the motherboard doesnt support an FSB of 266 but I know it does, and ASUS has confirmed it - yet I think I just need to flash my BIOS to update it. Anyway,

I got home, plugged it in - it booted, and when it got to Windows the screen went black and the system resetted. So I tuned it down to 1000Mhz, which the guys guaranteed for to work - yet, same thing - black screen, reset.

However, when I boot into SAFE mode, it works fine! ...

What do I do? I can't access the net from that machine..

:/

Thanks,

silentzero

you need to check if the jck1 jumper is set to 133 not 100 or what ever setting you got BIOS, JUMPER whchever one. Cause if its a 266 chip and the jumper is set to 100, youll have to get a 14x multiplier to boot at 1400 14x100=1400, and that wont work cause that board dont support a multiplier of 14. That "Could"be your problem, but again i dont know much
