I might get a new cooler soon, and the two best I can get here in Denmark is those two.
The Silver Moutain is a little cheaper than the SK6, so I'm leaning to the Silver M, but I though I would ask you guy's first.
Plaese let me know what you think!
Thanks :)

You can always consult with uncle Tom and his review of 46 HSF's

The Silver Mountain is a great HSF but the silver plating is all bark and no bite. Either the Sk6 or the Silver mountain would be a good purchase

The SK6 is fairly loud because it has the delta fan on it although it cools excellently, if noise is a prob u can 7V mod the fan and it will be ok. ;)

The Silver mountain isn't as good a cooler and has a fairly standard fan that isn't as noisy.

If you have the money go for the SK6 but is noise is a problem go for the Silver Mountain..

But is the Silver Mountain a bad cooler? I don't want to get some cheap Sh*t, I wan't something that can cool my T-Bird good, but at a reasonable price.

The Silver Mountain has an unique crome look but doesn't perform any better than an Alpha PAL series heatsink. It's not cheap either, almost twice as much than the Alpha. I didn't like the temperture on my Alpha Pal w/7000rpm fan, it idle at around 38C and loaded at around 45C. I replaced it with an copper heatsink that use a 5000rpm fan, it's now loaded at around 42C. I believe the SK6 has even better performance because it's all copper and have many large fins. The SK6 also look pretty unique but in copper form. There's really no comparison between the SK6 and the Silver Mountain. The SK6 means business.

If you can get a global win CAK38 they cool well too but the SK6 is the works if you can get it!

Silver mountain is an excellent heatsink. It does much better than a pal because it has a copper center. The Silver coating is to cure defects in the manufacture of the cooler, although the coating doesn't help, the gaps it penetrates and fills does wonders. The SK-6 is the best, but you have to have a delta. A Glaciator is the best noise/performance heatsink out there. Between the two you have, SK-6 all the way. But Wild_Andy sure did like his Silver Mountain.
