Well folks, I just got my new AMD rig, I had a slot a 700 tbrid befgore, but I killed it by accidentally chipping off a SMD resistor off the chip :( Iam wondering if there is anyway to clock the FSB on an 8KHA without your USB dying? I tried 110mhz FSB, and the USB puked. Any ideas?

It does the same thing on my 8k7a+. I think once you reach the divider it should be ok. It may also be your psu. That is the problem i am having.

Ok.. I am only allowed to go up .7v on the memory and .1 on the CPU.. so I maxed those and set my 8KHA to 133mhz FSB, and no vid signal. And just the FF. Is it just the chip or what? Shouldnt I be able to do 133? I will shut down and get the codes off my CPU and post them in a couple minutes.

Heres what it says:
Malaysia
AMD Athlon
AO800AMT3B
AFFA03XPEW
92227250151
does this help? I only know how to find the stepping, week and stuff on Intels.. :)
The only thing I can make out.. is maybe AFFA is the stepping... ?
;) :) :0

I managed to unlock my CPU with a #2pencil, and hit 950 so far...
