for all of you out there, i put one 92m fan on the side of my case as an intake
i already had 2 80mm fans (one in from intake, one in back, outtake) and my cpu temp went from 43 idle and 45 load to 37 idle and 38 load

my mobo temp went from 39 idle and 41 load to 30 idle and 32-33 load
i guess i put the fan in the right place

man, I'm sure about msi mobos but I think your mobo temps are pretty high.
my kt7a mobo temps are around 21C
also if you take that shim off you'll see a good temp drop, they hold alot of heat in.

I just got an MSI mobo, what software are you using to monitor the temps. Half the software that came with it won't work cause I'm running W2K. I know it says it will, but it won't. Thanks, Howie

i am using pc alert 3 right now, fuzzy logic doesnt work with win2k, but this pc alert seems to work great, i tested the temp with a real thermometer, and they are exactly the same.
so use the pc alert program

RangerJoe34, Thanks for the info. Is this PC Alert 3 part of the software that comes with the mobo or is it a download somewhere. Thanks, Howie

Spoke to soon, that won't run either it says I need monitoring chipset present. Now it monitors 2 temps, and 2 fan speeds in the bios setup? My old gigabyte monitoring software works too. Who Knows?? Thanks, Howie

just make sure that you have all the other programs from the MSI utilities installed, such as DMI Browser, GoodMEM, Live Update Series, and PC Alert 3. should work if you have all of those installed
