Is this Fortron source 460watt better the the blue storm 500watt?

Blue storm

I mainly ask this because the 460 is 10 dollars more. Also the source is PFC active and the blue storm is PFC passive, what does that mean?

Hehe...I just got my 5th star posting this, woot!!

They're essentially the same 460w unit with minor spec changes and passive vs. active PFC. Grab the one that looks best to you, but be aware these don't do too well on heavy 5v loads. Since your board draws from the 5v for the CPU, I'd suggest the non Blue Storm 400w unit, or the 530w.

If you're looking to use the 460's for an upcoming A64 or Pressie build, ignore my comments about the 5v ;)

also keep in mind that the blue storm is compatible with the newer specs for motherboards. You might need some adapters to run the older style psus. If this is for your Socket A setup then disregard my last statement.......
