Hi
I have the Ic7-G and 2x512Mb Ballistix Pc4000, currently running at 245Mhz, 1:1, 2.5-3-3-6 stable. I know tightest timings would be 2-2-2-5 but I read somewhere that lowering either "Ras to Cas delay" or "Ras Precharge" is more effective on P4 boards than lowering "Cas latency" (which is not possible with my ram@245). Does anyone know about this?

bump up the vdimm as far as it will go(probably 2.85 volts). u should be able to run 2.3.2.5 or 2.5.3.2.5 into the 250/260's .the afore mentioned timings are just about as good as 2.2.2.5 for intel 865/875 chipsets.. welcome to the forums my friend!!!!!!!!!

Thanks.
Do You happen to have a link or is it based on testing the bandwith?
Iīve changed my signature and Iīm afraid my board or Cpu (Sl6Wu) wonīt run 250.
Will try lowering "Ras precharge" and test with Sandra.

Yeah, that review was one of the reasons I went for the Ballistix.
Clevor tested the Pc4000 here.

My results so far:
memtest errorfree for 3 hours 2.5-3-3-6@248
Tried 2.5-3-2-6@248: No go (reboot in Win/prime)
2.5-3-3-5@248 gave me lower score in Sandra (buffered, didnīt check unbuffered; is the Memory bandwith in memtest86+ (3094) same as sandra unbuffered)?
2.5-3-3-6@250. No go (regardless of Cpu Vcore up to 1.6 (wonīt go higher īcause of temps)
At 248 the machine is memtest/Prime/3Dmark2001Se stable, so I guess Iīll settle for that for now.
