I've been hearing alot of talk lately about memory thats TCCD equiped so I was wondering whats so special about it?
is it supposed to be as good or better than memory thats equiped with BH-5 modules?
tccd can go very high so if you are locked with a low multi than this is great stuff. bh-5 with voltage is great because of the great timings.

yes tccd can run real nice overclocks at 2.9 volts . most easily do 300 fsb.... not sure what it would be rated as PC4600, 4700 ?? good stuff pretty cheap too for its value

TCCD ram seems to work well on a variety of platforms..... It's the only ram that lets me get my ABIT NF7-s over 240fsb. Low voltage and high fsb is something that is desirable for many computer users. Now if they could just do this with low latancies..... :p

yeah. TCCD for high clocks, BH-5 for low latencies (in general). there are exceptions, depending on what memory you have, but for most applications that runs true.

i would pick the newer gskills over the bh-5 but thats personal preference.. the older pcb deisgns with tccd suck im my opinion..

TCCD is the first ram since BH5 that does it all. It does ultra low latency, very high speeds and high speeds with good timings. Thats why

Where do you get TCCD from?

All with a considerably lower voltage, might I add. BH5 could run some mad clocks with some mad timings, but it requires voltage to get it there, and that taxes the chips, and often requires an external source of power in addition (RAM booster).

like i said on my sig, TCCD is kicking the crap out of BH-5 I believe this is the new way for ocr's..... my personal preference is a G SKILL tccd..... specially the LE right now i'm stable at 280mhz with stock voltage.... passed memtest.... love this ram....

Lots of places. Any RAM with 2-2-2 above PC3200 and any RAM with 2.5-3-3 above PC3700 is most likely TCCD

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion - minus voltage, all things work out about equal from objective testing I have seen between BH5 and TCCD

is it the general consensus that G.Skill pc4400 2x512 tccd is better than most other tccd sticks?

Yes. In terms of binning and overall peformance it doesnt get much better than Gskill. You would be hard pressed to find something better

The LE and LA's also seem to be the preferred sticks from Gskill.
Just installed some 2 x 512 G.SKILL ram, the le ones.
Runing great so for but whats the difference between
le and la versions? The la version cost more is it better?

I believe that the LAs are rated @ DDR600 where as the LEs are rated at PC4400
So the G.skill is the prefered ram over the patroit xbl?

Yes absolutly. Gskill is as good as it gets these days. Either them or OCZ

i think ocz is over rated .. and over priced ,,,

TCCD is nice because many mobos are limited to like 2.7v and with bh5 youll be lucky to hit 220fsb with such low volts while TCCD will do whatever your ondie controller(except for rare cases with dud sticks) No one seems to want bh5 anymore in fact, I see em on ebay selling dirt cheap, way less than TCCD LOL. VX ram does seem to be pretty popular, ive seen people hitting 250-270fsb with that 2x512mb but they need like 3.5v of dangerous volts. TCCD will do this easy at 2.7v thats why everyone but benchmark freaks go TCCD
