Please help.

I have Celeron 800 Cc0, which was overclocked to 1156 Mhz (FSB 144) - 2,00 V on my mobo SOYO BA+100 (BX 133 chipset) and the temperatures by this settings 28 °C idle, full load 43 °C with Globalwin FOP 38 + one 80 mm case fan. But the mobo died. I bought a new mobo ABIT SA6R. Now I use this Celeron on 1091 (FSB 136) - 1,8 V but the temperatures are realy high (idle 37 °C, full load 48 °C) + I use two 92 mm fans in my bigtower (they blow direct to CPU, Chipset and grafic card). Why??? I´m using the same termal grease. Can be termal sensor in mobo bad or what?

Thanks for any idea

Hi Killer DEL, welcome to the Forum,
Yes, can be a prob of the thermal sensor, or a bad seated cooler on the Cpu Core, but you're going without the best airflow setup, coz you must use one or more fans to exhaust the same amount of air that the others fans sucks into the case (consider the fans Cfm), otherwise the hot air stagnate.

I hope it helps you ;)

i dunno that previous board of yours, but was it a socket board or a slot, cuz slot mobo's don't read the internal temp. diode of your celeron, they've got a sensor NEAR the cpu , so that sensor will always give u lower temps ofcourse :) so maybe your getting the real temps now with that new mobo of yours

ofcourse if the previous bord was a socket bord this theory aint correct :)

Just reseat your HSF first cuz it's possible you bumped against it while installing flatcables and cards inside your case. The coppermine die is soo tiny that if you bump against the HSF it can be enough to remove some of the thermal grease from the die...

1st) Make sure the heatsink is well put and stable.
2st) as said in other post this motherboard maybe wants more power from the cpu and the temperaure is increased
3rd) Did u have thermal paste and now u don't have any?
