View Full Version : Finally hit 160FSB!
I guess my temps had a part on my 158 limit.I finally hit 160FSB witrh the cooler temps in the case. Some of my settings are still a little aggresive so I'm gonna try some different ones and see if I can't go a little higher when I get home from work today.

Just a thought ou may want to get the latest BIOS if you dont already. I had 8kha v6.0 flashed to v1809, and before i could not get over 1500 stabel - 3dmark lockups, boot outs, and all sorts of errors. Now i ran 1500 overnight burn in and no probs, also 3dmark ran smooth hell , and with card overclocked to 215/465. I know now that i can get over 1600. I am at 1.8vcore and 2.7memvolts. 10x150 fast settings

thats good. what timings are you using? and what voltage is the memory at? I am trying to do the same.
This set-up is on my KT7A and my memory settings are set to medium with cas3.My voltage is 1.85 in bios and 1.91 in Sandra

That's a great FSB, maybe you could give me some advice. What multiplier would you settle with, using a 1.4? In order to hit the 160 FSB. I'm at 141X12@2v right now, but I know the FSB will go higher, I just wasn't convinced I wanted to give up all those mHZ until now ;)
I personally like to get the FSB as high as it will go.The FSB speeds up everything where as the mult just improves the processor. If I were you and you say the FSB will go higher I would sacrafice a few MHZ to up the bus.Try getting the FSB as high as it will go w/a mult of like 7 or 8.Once you know how high it will go then its just a matter of finding the right combo to get the best performance.

I cant even hit 133 with mine :( So Im jealous. But conrats, and nice avatar Pantera :) I am listening to "Walk" right now :) By the by, next time you walk to put up a copy of just the screen of WCPUID, hit alt + printscreen instead of just printscreen :)
I've got mine up to 175 with corsair pc2400 and heat spreaders. I ended up adding a larger heatsink the northbridge - glued on with arctic silver epoxy. Since the new bios came out this board has been rockin.
Wow, 175.That's awesome, is it stable enough to run some benches?
