I know this is a dumb newbie question but my motherboard only has 3 fan inputs. One for cpu, one for case fan, and one more. I want to add more fans, however. Do I need to buy a molex splitter or something or what?
thanks
(i have an Epox 8K7A mobo if you disabled sigs)
Nah, just plug em in to the main 4-pin from the PS. Most fans come w/ something like that already attached to the wires, so it dosn't eat up a connector all by itself.

and if all your fans are 3pin(like the motherboard fan connectors), all you need is a 3 to 4 pin adapter that will allow you to plug your fans into any of your 4 pin connectors that your hd and cdroms use, also the adapters provide another 4 pin connector so you don't lose a 4 pin connector, just gain 3 pin.

with mobo connectors you loose some of the power, connecting fans up to the psu gives them fil power
