can i make a bootable cd with all the bios stuff on it and flash my bios?
i cant use a floppy because i have no 9x systems

I don't think so, cuz (from what I heard, correct me if I'm wrong), you must make a backup of your current BIOS.

yes but i can still use a floppy for that,
the floppy in that case does not need to be bootable

You shouldn't need a bootable floppy to flash your BIOS. To flash an Abit BIOS, I believe you only need three files (on a freshly formatted Floppy)...which are included in the BIOS *.exe from Abit. You'll need to run the *.exe from within Windows to extract the files.

Boot to a command prompt by holding down the CTRL key, or hitting F8 (depending on your OS), and go to "Command Prompt Only"...there should be a "RUNME.BAT" (or "ABITFAE.BAT") file, the BIOS *.bin and AWDFLASH.EXE on the floppy, then just run the "ABITFAE" or "RUNME" at the prompt.
