Its amazing the excuses, hmmm, I mean reasons that one can find to tweak/upgrade/build hardware! Congrats on the upcoming little one. My girl just turned 8 and she is growing up sooooo fast.

Congrats on the baby! My youngest turned 17 on March 3, so all I can say is enjoy them while they're little... the older they get the more difficult they are, but I still wouldn't give them up for the world.

Newegg appears to be down, but did the PC-7B come with the two fans in back or did you mod it? I'm only remembering one fan on the rear of that case, but I could be wrong.

no I made the second hole myself, pretty easy actually, hole saw (3'') and a old 80mm fan (gutted out) to mark the outsude holes - looks like it came from the lian li factory!

bump for the kink question (on main post) :)

which wall thickness tygon did you get?

I accidently ordered some stuff with the 1/16" wall thickness myself, and it kinks liek crazy. The 1/'8" wall tygon eats kinks for lunch.

yeah, it looks like he's using the thin-walled stuff

i think longer tubing underneath the Y (like you suggested) would help.

its the thick kind! but I think its too short, will try to reroute it with longer tubes and see... and using clearflex on this one... =)

Hum... just got everything up and running (pics tomorrow) and was wondering which sensor to use on Speedfan - they all have the same names!!!

http://rodcosta.org/ebay/temps.JPG

any clues? obviously not the -1C one, but the others seem within "reach"

thanks!!

i think its temp 2.

which is 32C. see which temp is in the tray. thats probably CPU temp

you can also try starting up prime95 and do a torture test and see which one goes up

congrats on the kid :) i like your mouse mat. try putting a hose clamp or an o ring where the kink is. this usually does the trick and keeps it perfectly round.

best way to determine what temps are and not, run some good old fashioned priming or seti. 32c is the default temp for a lot of sensor programs, so could be, may not be. also, for finding out whihc one is the case temp. locate it on the board and touch it for a couple of seconds, or blow on it, or get a can of compressed air and squirt it a bit, you get the idea.

very nice case and if you haven't got the tubing issue fixed, you could also try some springs. just get about a 11/16 or so diameter and it'll help, though that is a pretty tight fit. if you don't want to use springs, you could always put a couple of low rpm 120s in that whole. just make a two internal bars for support(could just do this and set the rad up higher and make ur case look like it has a mohawk), mount the fans, and the rad through the fans for added stability. Plus then you have a nice top exhaust and can go total low noise. Again, sexy beast you have there.

As a note, your 12V line looks pretty low at 11.55.
