I picked up Red Hat 7 the other day on sale and I was wondering;
does it install on raid?
I have my HD partitioned into 3 drives, do I make another with Partion Magic?

It depends on the raid controller. Linux in general does not support the Highpoint controllers found on Abit and some other boards. You could try it if Linux doesn't see the drives correctly it will let you know.

Yes I have the HPT370a chipset.

Do you think it would install on an old Packard Bell P66?

It should if the hard drive is big enough and you have enough ram. I installed 6.0 on a 486, with 16mb of ram,but I couldn't get x to run and during installation it started using the swap space as soon as it was formated.

A 66MHz PC should be OK, but I would recommend 32MB+ of RAM and >400MB for a GUI.
It will not run very fast though (stating the obvious!).
