Price Drop

Does anybody know of any upcoming price drops for PCIe graphics card. On my next paycheck I will begin ordering the parts for my next upgrade which will most likely be an SLI setup. I plan on making my purchases over two paychecks and want to know if my first round of purchases should include my graphics cards, or if I should wait until my next set of purchases to get my graphics cards. I should have all the parts I need for this upgrade purchased by the weekend of April 8th.

How far apart do you plan on purchasing the items? If you mean two weeks back to back i don't think it would matter, doubt any price drops on pci-e cards are gonna happen that soon. Just check Newegg, and local retailers for any sales in that time :)

Yup, my first set of purchases will be made on the weekend of March 25th, then the next on the weekend of the April 8th. I've noticed though that prices at ZZF, Newegg, and Monarch have been fluctuating a lot lately and was wondering if this was any indication that a price drop is soon to come.

Don't think you'll see a significant price drop until the new generation cards come out which will probably be later this year (my guess around fall).

Like i said, keep a close eye on the web for some good sales/rebates on them. Also keep an eye on the "cyber deals" section of the forum :)

Thats about what I paid for my Gainward 6800GT AGP when they first came out. So I would say prices haven't moved yet. That was over 6 or 7 months ago.
