K guys I've been having a whole load of trouble in choosing between the ocz el 184 pin 512 mb pc3200 series and the crucial ballistix 184 pin 512mb pc3200
ive been reading reviews everywhere and supposedly the crucial should run better with an athlon system because of its micron chip from the fast review on anandtech but ive been reading a lot of people saying that it may have been cherry picked. so i went online to see oc results of both the ocz and crucial on an amd system but i cant seem to find any so i decided to ask you guys. crucial or ocz for my dfi lanparty nforce4 ultra + athlon 3200+? please tell me which is better for ocing and such on the amd system.thanks

:welcome:

I use OCZ 3700 gold Rev 3 on a 939 shuttle cube with out any problems.
I use Geil 4400 on my other 939 MSI Neo2 and
Geil 3500 on a Socket A DFI Infintiy NF2U 400.

They are all stable and fold 24/7 unless i need to game a little. But right after back to folding for Team 32. :attn:

JoLim, you have narrowed things down to 2 rams which are pretty far apart in price. The OCZ is the gold standard in ram and it costs like it's gold. Is it better than the Ballistix? Yes. Is it worth the extra money? That's a tough question, and I not sure it is. However, there are a number of other choices of ram with tccd chips that are much less costly than the OCZ. PDP and PQI both make good quality ram with tccd chips on brainpower pcb and it is very overclockable. Thereare a lot of reviews of tccd ram arond the net. I'd check them out before coming to a final decision. Good luck.
