in an upcoming project i'll be painting a laptop. what's the best thing to use? i was thinking spray paint but i wanted to run it by someone else first. also, anything i should know about painting the keys?

spary paint or purchase adecent air gun sprayer :D i would love to paint my dell inspiron, but affraid if i screw it up then what :(

Best choice, deassemble and vinyl dye.

ya, vinal die would be the best. It dosent screw up the texture of the surface like regular paint does.

the problem with using vinal dye is that i intend to paint the laptop white. also, if i use spray paint, would i need to use a primer even though it's going to be white?
The primer I used for both of my laptop mods was WHITE...
So you could just use the primer and clear coat it
Rust-Oleum brand, Plastic Primer.. YES It is special plastic primer that they make!!!
oh and I think you are referring to my laptop that I painted that was on OC front page a couple of weeks ago? Or maybe not.....

nice job on the laptops. i'll go hunt down the plastic primer and clear coat. what brand clear coat should i use?
The same.. Rust-oleum...
it makes a nice HARD protective shell on it...
