My friends computer was having some problems so i took it apart looked around i took off his heatsink and dust was caked everywhere so i cleaned it off. There wasntany thermal paste so i thought i was kinda odd that it would work for long periods of time. I put it back on with none thinking that it would work still. I start it up and it normally boots for about 20 seconds then it powers down. And i have to turn off the power supply and let all the caps die out before it will let me use the power button to turn it back on. Just wondering whats causing this and if getting some thermal paste will fix it. :shrug:
