Can someone pleeease help me!! I just got a new tbird 1.4 ayhja and tried ocing it. The highest i could get it to was 10*145. At 150 it would post but then freeze at the win2k loading screen. I've tried upping the vcore +0.1 but with no prevail. Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't know to much about your m/b, but I would increase the vcore just a little bit more!(a lot more if you can) Just watch your temps! Is your 1.4 a "Y" or "9"?

Wells i've upped the vcore up to +0.2 and it finally tops 150! :) However, the system is very unstable and freezes once in a while. I know this chip is capable of over 1600 cuz two of my friends have the exact same chip. How do i check its its a Y or 9? On the chip the stepping code only says ayhja.

Right below the first A in AYHJA, their should be a letter or number. I wouldn't take apart everything just to see, but it is nice to know whatcha got!

If it still locks up on you, increase your vcore a tad more. That is a good chip though, I think you should get atleast 1.6.

My vcores already at 2.04, don't you think its already alittle bit on the high side? Isn't it recommended not to go over 2?

yes... you're Vcore is allready a bit high. What about the Voltage for the RAM... have you turned that up a bit to?
What are you're temps now btw.?

My ram is currently at +0.2 or 2.7v and my temps are idle 48 load 50.

i got 8kta3 and athlon 1.4...im not sure what all the differences are but the vcore adjustment via bios has nothing to do with the jumper settings...for vcore voltage...maybe you gotta up the vcore adjust in bios

Well, I discovered today that I can't go over 140 fsb without totally losing USB! :( But that doesn't mean I can't increase that wonderful little multiplier...gotta find a good voltage for 1650, right now I'm at 1507 at 1.77V.

Hurray just passed the 1600 mark :D I just changed the multipler to 12 and got up to 135. So i guess the fsb was too high and was causing the system to hang. I also lower the Vcore down to +0.1 to keep on the safe side ;) The memory settings 16-8-8-2-8-2.5-2 also seemed to work well too.

Has anyone ever change the cpu clock select jumper on the board b4 from 100 to 133?
