View Full Version : Getting cooler by the day...

I've been playing with different cooling ideas with my water system. Recently I hooked up about 18ft of copper tubing to my window fan as a radiator (sealed off from the rest of the room) and yesterday I added another 20ft. Right now it's about 7C outside, so when I came home from work I found my computer idling at 12C. I put on prime95 and hopped in the shower and when I got out the temp was holding steady at 25C.. not bad. Right now I'm running 1.33Ghz (stock setting) so there's not THAT much of a heat load, but I'm still happy about it. Generally running around 1.5Ghz only raises my temps by 2C-3C. I can hardly wait for my Watter Wetter to show up so I can shave off a few more degrees... not to mention that in a month the outside temps should be well below freezing... guess I should add some anti-freeze in there too. This isn't really important info, I'm just happy about it so I felt like telling you all.

I'd love to have a bash at water cooling but I just can't afford the water block, and I'd have to get a new case. Plus I don't want to fry my baby =)
