i have a 3500+ and a msi k8n neo 2 plat ..
i need a gig of mem .. not gonna be using a ddr booster
so i need some ram that will do well on normal volts .. like up to 2.85
which do u guys recommend ?
and is it worth going to get 2 gigs of ram ? or does the msi board not
able to run 2gigs >>
thanks
G'skill
OCZ Rev2
Corsair XL
Patriot XBL
those above are TCCD RAM 2.85v is good enough for them

What bbq said but on teh 2GB thing...it definately wont OC nearly as well so from that angle I'ld say no need but if you do something like video editing then sure it may help...the only problem I could see would be if it tried torun dual channel...that would really beat on the mem controller

and do gskill overclock decent ?
I'm gonna pretend I never heard that
:santa: for real any Gskill will kick some arse. 2*256 and people are pulling over 300 2*512 is still the high 200s and some have gotten 300s. I forget which is better la or le but both are discontinued I believe so start checking forums and stuff also.

Get either the LC or LE in 1G kit...LE's are better for tighter timings...but both tend to OC about the same when it comes to max OC....

the second 1 is LE. as newegg said the LE timing is better than LC
