Is it a good idea to have a laptop folding? I mean , laptops run hot anyways . If i start folding with my laptop that thing will be so hot that you could cook an egg on it:P
what do you think?
at heavy cpu usage it idles at 55 C so imagine a laptop running at 55C all the time....
Actually, laptop cpus are made to run at really high temperatures........ I'm folding on mine and most days it's running around 64°C full load, no problems as of yet........ although I'm pretty sure the max temp on my cpu is like 80 or 90°C. This is with a 1.6 gig Dothan BTW.

the one i am talking about is a Mobile Pentium 4 rated at 2.8Ghz

if you can keep it cool then you wont have a problem.
FOLD ON!!!!
Sure fold away! It'll run nice and toasty but these things are designed to do that. Remember that the general idea of how cool a CPU should run round these parts has overclocking headroom in mind. Some advice on folding with a laptop:
Make sure you prop it up on the feet (if it has any) or use anything to at least get it a CM or so above the surface it is sitting on. This is so air can flow underneath.
Make sure you keep the screen up if it is capable of running with it down! A lot of heat comes up through a laptops keyboard.
If you can place a small housefan blowing at the front of the lappy do it.

i already have an Antec notebook cooling pad for it that drops the temps by 8 degrees :)

AFAIK you can't complete a WU on a PC slower than 250Mhz. There is a time limit.
