Right now I have a WAP54G Router (http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?grid=33&scid=35&prid=608). I connect from my laptop via wired and wireless connection.

Can I add this print server shown here (http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?grid=34&scid=32&prid=438) to one of the ethernet ports on the router, and then access the printer from wired and wireless connections from the router?

Also how is the best way to use a flash USB drive on a network without connecting it to a computer?

Yes. Basically, hook it up to the wired network, connect to it via webbrowser, do a bit of configuration to get it on your wireless network, then you can disconnect it from the wired network, and connect it to the printer.

Then, in windows, create a new local printer, create a new "tcp/ip" port, give it the IP address of the printserver, then give it the driver of the attached printer, then try printing to it.

AFAIK, you cannot attach a USB flash drive to the "network".

If you have parts lying around, you can save yourself a bunch of money by just building a simple linux box.. connect the printers & any harddrives to it (no USB enclosures needed), and just use samba+cups.

This is the best solution. Cheap printer server units, as i've found, tend to leave your printer in idle mode. For my laser printer this ment the fan kept spinning making my room stink like toner :(

Using a computer however, can handle not only all the printers you could ever want, but it will cover your file storage needs, and allow you to setup better storage solutions such as raid.
