alright, i need a new agp card. ive been looking at either the 6600 non ultra, which is 150 shipped http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-145-112&depa=1 or a 9800 se that can easily be flashed to pro that has 256 bit ram which is 139 shipped. http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=14-131-302&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE which do you think would be the better buy? and which would be better in doom 3 on 1024 x 768 with some goodies on. im on a limited budget of MAX 150 bucks. any suggestions are welcome and greatly appecaited.

Not all 9800se's can be flashed as far as i know, i have seen a few in the classified section that won't. Honestly i wouldn't get a 6600non GT, get either the GT version or get a 9800pro. That's if you want the most bang for you buck! :)

ive seen a bunch of reviews on newegg of the old ones(discountinued by powercolor) that were the same thing and a bunch of people flashed em to pros. as far as the 6600 goes, im just looking for a card thatll do better then mine, like a large noticable improvement for under 150 bucks. it doesnt hafta be glitz and glamour, it just hasta run games at good frame rates and with a few goodies on.

you could get the x700pro if you dont want to spend $200 on the 6600gt

you can get a 9800pro for probably 125 used...check out anandtech (only deal with people with a decent amount of heat so you don't get burned)
