View Full Version : Choosing a new team leader...
We should probably go about choosing a new leader for the team. I asked Allan what he thought we should do, and he suggested that people volunteer for it, and we choose. That way, only people that truely want the position would get it, instead of being nominated by others.
I'd be interested in the position, although I couldn't stay on the stats team, I now have 45 minutes a day at school that I can dedicate to the forum, this would be more than enough.
Anyone else interested?

I think that you'd do a good job, sfa ok.
Umm, just out of curiosity, what does a team leader do?

They organize the stats team, give the team pep talks, and deal with all the Stanford related stuff. I probably missed a ton of other duties but somebody will fill it in.

SFA, I think you would do a great job. I also think TT120 would do a great job as well.

Why donīt we start a thread where every volunteer for the job posts and then me make a poll from it..
I think that would be fair

That'd be fair but sometimes the polls break and you can vote again. It always seems to do that to me. But I think we could go by the honor system. Also, I think a moderator or senior member needs to make the poll.
I was just checking out the team web site. It is quite out of date. It appears it has been almost 2 months since the last update.
I think we can come to an agreement without a poll. With polls, you also can get lots of people not active in folding voting.

Whoever is to lead the team in the future can count on my assistance if needed. Just ask me.

We need someone who will update the website more often, I'm a web designer and would be happy to sort that side of things if the new leader requires it.
TT120 did go back to SETI so SFA looks favourite so far.

I've been pretty busy at work lately and I haven't been able to post much but I still steal some time here and there to read whats going on. We're startin to slow down so I will be able to be here more and more.

I'm still Folding and am honored to be considered as a team leader but am not sure if I would be able to do the job as I have no idea what all is involved.

sorry your post in another thread that you were considering focusing your efforts on the seti more than folding or something but never mind I'm glad you are still folding with us ;)
You would be good for the job although as you also said the summer is a busy time for you. If you don't have the time for the job it is best to focus on more important things in your own life.
How about TC he has his own folding/seti farm he should be considered as well.

TC is no longer with our team.
TT, if your summer is too busy, I could take over then, as I'm really busy except for during the summer.

How about TT and SFA be co captains? That way they can distribute the load between themselves if one gets bogged down for a bit.

That would be fine with me, sometimes I have 1-2 weeks with no free time (if there's a show at my school's theater).

that sounds fair the work load can be shared between the two of them and I'm sure things will work ok.
Good Luck & Fold On
I was just thinkin the same thing. Great minds think alike and all that.
Now if we can get a list of things to do and how to do them from Allan......
This really should be put up to a vote for all the members to vote on though. Maybe make a poll and see what everyone thinks.

Basically your job is to deal with all stanford relations, get the website going, perhaps create a new website (I made the current one), post as much as possible in the folding topic etc etc etc.
:D
