I am doing 1.4@1.54 with 1.76 vcore and 294DDR mem (147FSB)
I have the air conditioner on and the case side panel off:
Load temp: 39C
Idle temp: 35-37C
I am disappointed in the benchmark results with my memory and CPU. Would going to higher voltages increase performance?

Upping themultiplier and lowering the FSB. Because I noticed my 800 performs better at 100X9.5 than it does at 133x7! Only about 30MIPS better, but better nontheless. You might try that. Also cranking your memory settings might help too.

That your performance with devices on your computer goes down when you get away from the settings in which the PCI bus runs at standard (100mhz, 133mhz) respectively.

my mobo doesnt support changing the multiplier so I must do it by FSB:mad:
How do i crank up the pci speed?

Your PCI bus is increased along with the fsb, PCI bus is 1/3 of the fsb so if fsb is 100 pci bus is 33 jump it up to 110 and the pci bus also increases this is the only way to change the pci bus and you do not want to change it to much as it will cause major instabilty. When you go to 133 a 1/4 divider goes into effect agian putting your pci bus back to 33 and allowing you to raise your fsb without getting your pci bus to far from spec.

Grrrrrr..... It crashed in windows when I upped the vcore to 1.8
Also the temps got 3C higher!!!! What is wrong??? I have gone back down to 1.4
It also crashed in quake 3 when I was 1.54 and vcore 1.76
For some reason it increased a few MHz when I increased the vcore
Some help would be great.
At default speed: Load temp side panel off AC on: 37.5C

if it crashed in windows, and it was after upping the FSB a bit more, you need to up the memory voltage if you have that option, or tyr less agressive memeory settings, cas 2.5, 4 way bank interleave. IF you upped the multiplier and raised the vcore and it still crashed it is either HEAT issue or that is all that the chip will do, i have reached my chip limit at about 1560mhz out of a 1330. I is load at 42c max votage so i know its not heat.

okay I can up the ram voltage but by how much???
whats way blank interleave?
But wouldn't CAS 2 be better than CAS2.5? I already have poor memory benchmarks.
BTW My case is poorly ventilated.
After an hour of intense Quake 3. The load temp was 41.5C with the case panel off and the airconditioner on low.
I am scared stiff about putting my case panel back on! :(
All I have is one sleeve bearing exaust fan in the back with a PSU fan with only 1 intake.
