I have the HTT at 4x, fsb at 220, mem voltage 2.7v, cpu volt @ 1.55 + 3.3% over. Newcastle 3500+

corsair xms pc3200 2x 512sticks, ocz powerstream 520watt. xp-120 heatsink with a 120mm fan.

timings are set at 2T 2, 3, 3, auto and 166. When it posts it shows timings as 2, 3, 3, 7 and 183 on the bus....loads windows just fine.

I am not able to raise the fsb over 220 at all with everything i have tried, my sata drive is connected on the sata3/4 connection so its on the pci lock. Between fsb220-230 it locks on windows login, past that it wont post. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have this posted in the MSI AMD board thread as well.(k8n neo2 platinum board)

I would post this in the AMD processor section.

Request that a mod move this (make sure to include a link to the thread in the PM).

no i haven't but even if it works that way i wouldn't run it...i like the performance of dual channel too much :)

Yebbut, if it works single channel, it tells you it might be your RAM holding you back.

timings are set at 2T 2, 3, 3, auto and 166.

i would think that this means he is running them on a divider that would mean that his ram should be below 220 and way closer to like 200 (i can't recall the divider that 166 is) i would say if you wish to try to bump your fsb up more you need to drop your proc's multiplier down one or so with higher multis you may have hit your processor wall before your ram wall

if you want the most solid proof its ram take a run at memtest 86 and see if it spits anything out at these higher fsb's

also even if i'm wrong on this whole divider thing my info should still help some

And of course atleast check single channel also if it works in single channel then you need to rethink how you want to do things i guess

the memory bus on post is showing 183 if that is the divider you meant.
