6800 Ultra 512mb release date?

Does anyone know when the 512mb version is due out? Also, does anyone have an idea as to how much more it'll cost over a 256mb version? I'm just debating if I should hold off, and get a 512mb Ultra instead of a 256mb GT much sooner.

Honestly save your money and just get the 256mb Ultra or GT. The extra 256mb of video ram is overkill and won't be effective in games. Unless its GDDR4 or 5 it wont even OC as well anyways i think.

By the time games will utilize the 512mb's of memory that card will be obsolete.

unless otherwise your using that for digital workspace, i.e. video editing and stuff like that, 512mb won't be your best bet... For games stick with the 256 it would be sufficient enough. no game can saturate that for periods of time anyways, even when everything is maxed out....

Yeah I doubt it would be worth the money, might have higher clocks but prolly not by much and def not worth 200-300 more...

yeah just get a 256 of the gt or ultra or x850 or the 800 series i hear there just as good
