Does the Folding program support dual CPU's? I mean is it optomized for it?

yes it does! You can read how to do it on the folding@home website at stanford.
There is an excellent FAQ on our team website. Check it out and it will explain in detail how to run a Dual Process for Dual machines. Hope this helps a bit, if you need to, please do take a peek into the Folding @ Home Thread and there you will be able to seek out any help you need.

No offense but, I dont want a program that I have to hack to get it to work. They whole point behind these things are to use others CPU cycles to accomplish a common goal. If they don't have the gumption to build the software threaded for SMP, then to me it's not worth running.
It's the principle. If you have software of this nature, build it right. This is why I quit running United Devices protien system. It didn't support SMP and it was sponsored by Intel for gods sake.
I'm pretty sure that the 2.0 client will support SMP, it should be coming out very soon.

You just have install the client twice, one with a local switch in the shortcut "-local" you can read more in the FAQ on the fah page.
