hi, i am going to be buying some new memory for my newcomputer in the next couple of days. i've looked at twinmos value ram and heard that they have utt chips. also i read that the tccd is the best, especailly the g.skill 4400le (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-231-005&depa=0) . is that good, or should i just got with a gig of value ram? i have about $160 to spend. the mother board will be dfi nf4 ultra, processor a64 3000+. any suggestions would be welcome, also remember that i am new to this kind fo stuff. thanks

Welcome to the Forum!
I assume you are talking about 2x512. You really should get a gig for best performance. You won't be able to afford a gig of TCCD on that budget. You could get a gig of some good Hynix. The UTT is probably the best bang for the buck on that board where you have a lot of vdimm. OCZ makes a value VX that is in your budget and Mushkin just came out with a budget UTT based ram as well. Good luck with whatever you choose.

is this better than the twinmos? or is it better. thanks for welcoming me

I think Mushkin is a better brand than twinmos, but the reality is it all comes down to the quality of the chips you get, and that's just the luck of the draw. I think the odds are better with a better company. That would be either Mushkin or OCZ's Value VX.

also what are some results from these sticks? and possible timing setups with the volts
thanks again for all your help so far

I haven't seen any results on the Mushkin yet as they are just out. There are several threads on UTT, and since that what it is the results and timings should be close. Good luck with it.
