Just a quick question to yall what would you go with in your machine to run EVERQUEST well for those of you out there that arent informed about the game it is a very grafical game that you play across the internet with many many people up 3000 grand at a time. I got a cable modem and the GEFORCE 3 card and still a alttle choppy and was wondering what brand and size has worked out the best for you all.. Thanks for the help...

How much RAM do you have now? 256 is about standard right now, and 384 is about the limit of usable RAM. Its cheep right now though, so stock up! :)

Where does it get choppy? Just all over or just in certain zones? I know my Geforce 2 GTS was fine except in places like Burning Woods where I would still have to turn down the clipping plane some. Raids will always be rough on you. You need to turn off particle effects and basically turn off anything pretty if you really want to keep moving in a large group or raid situation. I don't think more RAM will help you out really with the choppiness.

hmmm.....i had 128 ram and my omcpo was choppy in max payne, but after added 256 it runs just like the benchmark said it would....
