View Full Version : Watercooling Question(s)
Hi, I'm interested in WC and gonna buy a setup.I would like to know if this is the best way to obtain the lowest temps? Also is it alot better to use a peltier with the setup? What is the best of the lot available right now?(pumps,etc...)If anyone would can you please post what brand equipment you are using and what your temps are.I know nothing and really would like to be informed by some people who have experience in water-cooling before I spend that kind of money and find out there was a better pump or resevoir I should have bought.Thank you to all that help!
I use the Danger Den Maze 2 waterblock and cube radiator with the aquastealth rio 180 pump and resevior. It seems to work pretty good for me. IMHO, the Maze 2 and the cube are the best ones out there. You might want to go with an Enheim pump that puts out a bit more GPH than the Rio tho.....
My CPU temp right now under full load on a 1400 mhz T-Bird is 35c.
Thank you a bunch those are the things that I am trying to figure out.More input is very much welcome,...anyone?

i dont have water cooling yet but am getting it very soon, i am getting a becooling waterbock and their dual fan radiator, this is beacuse i dont have much money to spend on my pc and these are quite cheap and verry good
Should I use a Peltier along with the waterblock?

Well, if you want to do that, you're going to need to do some research on them. Here are some major point of interest:
Power: They use a lot, and usually require a separate PSU (for AMD at least)
How big: You want as a general rule of thumb about twice the power that your cpu is putting out. For AMDs that means a 172, and a dual would be best.
Condensation: You'll hopefully be cooling below ambient, which means you need to worry about condensation. Look into ways of avoiding it or ways to prevent it from affecting your comptuer (waterproffing and the like)
Other uses: You could use them to chill your coolant. Then you need less powerfull ones.
There's more to it than that, but it's best if you do the rest of the research on your own so that you really know whats going on.
