I'm using an AMD Athlon @ 1Ghz but my cooler is way too noisy for me. (FOP38) what cooler do you sugest to buy with adequate cooling power and low noise levels....(either from globalwin or thermal take)i mention those 2 companies before because these are the only two companies that import coolers in my country ....all the rest here is crap....

im waiting for a reply...thanks guys...and gals :D :D :D +:D

I would suggest to first try and make a 80mm adapter for your FOP38. If you use a bigger fan that has the same CFM or maybe have more then noise will be cut down to reasonable levels. Maybe try a 120mm mounted on the side & use a duct to direct air on top of the heatsink.

Or you could try that refridgerator thing, but I wouldn't.

Global Win cak38 is a very good performing copper HS, you could fit some 80mm fan on it...
Or if available the Alpha 8045 which is a 80mm HS and top of the line performer with reasonable noise levels

I have a 1.1, and i use ThermalTake Volcanoe II, the noise is perfectly fine.

I too had an FOP38 before with my o/c duron...
