UT2k4 Map Pack released!

There is a nice map pack released for UT2k4 called "Ultimate Community Map Pack". The maps I have played so far are great, I haven't played all of them yet.

I would like to add to that, there's an excellent mod called UTXMP, it's a port of the original UNreal 2 XMP addon by the same people. http://www.free-monkey.com/main/

It's like a cross between Enemy Territory and Unreal Tournament and it has vehicles. I like it a lot but it seems to be dying a slow death as nobody is playing on any of the servers.

I tried Red Orchestra, a WW2 mod, but was very unimpressed.

that xmp was fun at first, but there wasnt enough maps to keep it going - and the community map pack for it whilst fun, just wasnt picked up by any servers what so ever (atleast on its initial release). I certainly rate XMP over UT2k4s onslaught.

however I do think there is an xmp mod for ut2k4 in the works - so perhaps something to look out for

It's already out and I believe that's the same one electromagnetic is talking about. :)
And yes it is a great mod.

Actually he's talking about the UTXMP, look at the link he provided. Anyway, back on subject the UT2k4XMP mod is great if you haven't tried it.

As for the map pack I have played all the maps and "I" think they are great, BUT there was only 1 onslaught map :(.

yeah I was beta testing for legend and xmp was so downhill if you got control and the other team was down it was over for you as you can't cap without power. I would get so ****ed when team couldn't make any comeback and auto guns were too powerful.
