I personally would not consider swaping the CPU without knowing the reason why your friend is so willing to swap, While the 600 Durons are usually good overclockers this does not mean that all the 600's are. The 600's still top out at around the 1 ghz mark same as most Durons. The 600's which obtain very high overclocks generally run on increased voltage.. and all these factors should be considered.. I myself would stay with the 750.

that sounds like a good deal cuase even if hte 600is a not so good stepping, it will alomst surely hit 850 anyways and probaly higher, so worst case you still be at 850 with some extra cash

WAIT!!!! You don't want to do that unless you have the proper hardware. You will need very sufficient cooling and high voltages... maybe even 1.85+... which depends on your motherboard.

my mobo goes to 1.85 and i have a thermal take volcano 6 and some case cooling so i think i can handle the heat a bit
i hope i have luck with the cpu itself
btw can someone give me the url of the stepping code of the duron
thx

do it cuz you can always ebay that mofo and get a 1.4 for 108shipped and get that up to 1.533 and it will be so much faster.

off topic question but do you think i can get a cpu at ebay and ship it to belgium?
do you get a guarantee so the cpu isnt broken when you get it
