I want to buy a few pairs of those things. I need to know which will be better conductors of heat. I read an article somewhere on this whole matter but I can't remember where. Both are shiny (that's what I'm looking for basically) but which would you suggest?

neither. Better off going bare and getting air flowing over them.

Yeah, I wouldn't get heatspreaders. You will get better cooling performance by leaving the chips bare, or using actual heatsinks on the individual RAM chips. Heatsinks or heat spreaders won't really help anything unless you are running excessive (3.3v+) amounts of voltage through your RAM.

Awe, but they're so nice and shiny. ;)
Thanks for your replies.

Hacking up a Copper 1U server heatsink would work well.
