I'm running an A7A266 M/B with a 1.4G Thunderbird, Vantek CCK-6035D HSF with 80mm Sunon's front and back. The board is new and came with BIOS 1004-I've upgraded to 1005 and 1006. I'm not overclocking. Asus Probe and iPanel show a 52-54C CPU idle temp, 55-58C loaded. I've seen comments that this M/B may not be accurate (may read higher than actual). My temp, from what I've read, seems high-considering the cooling effort. Everything else about the system is working beautifully.

you may want to get bios 1007. This will reduced the temp "reading" by 6c. Asus reports temp much higher than the actual. Even if it said your temp is at 56c. It's not. Try download 1007 then the temp reading will be much lower

If you deduct about 10C it becomes more realistic in my opinion.

The temp sensor on this board really just can't be trusted. It measures the temp of the air behind the cpu. I would say that you're probably ok...the best test of this is if you're stable. If you're not crashing, I really just wouldn't worry about it.

Dont trust any on board temp probe on a motherboard. They just are not placed accurately. The $15 it cost for a temp probe is a great investment as you'll always know your getting the proper temps.
