I just won a 2x256mb set of BH-6 Muskin on Ebay. My question is what kind of performance should I expect out of these in an NF2 board and what is safe voltage to run them at?
Thanks in advance for any help

Safe voltage is 3.6 volts. What you can get can vary a lot.

Should be good on that mobo, especially if you can do the vdimm mod.
got 265Mhz (CL2 2-2-5) at 3.6v with 1x512Mb Mushkin Special on DFI S754, so you will more likely max out the motherboard first, before you hit memory limit:)

you should be able to hit 240mhz-255mhz 2-2-2-11 cpc on 3.3v :)

512X2 250 2-2-2-6 3.2V, wasnt stable without a whole load of cooling.

For what its worth, Diable23RD, who works at a Fry's in the Southwest sent me a PM telling me that his store just got new, retail Mushkin 2-2-2 with BH-6. They are listed at $215/gig.
Now, where did this stuff come from? Was Mushkin holding back bh-6 chips, like the did with bh-5 and decide to go ahead and release them (remember the periodic bh-5 Promo Specials)?
Where is our Mushkin rep today?

jmke,
That 265 is pretty nice...who needs VX, UTT or bh-5 (new or old) when you can hit 265 @ 2-2-2-5, right?

I bought this stuff for $68 shipped off Ebay Reefa.
If it lives up to what you guys are saying I will be a very happy person.

Sorry that I didn't clarify...I didn't put the price up there to say it was a deal, but to the contrary, in today's market, it is way overpriced!
There are too many options with the Value VX, the TwinMOS and the Mushkin Blue (not to mention a gig of TCCD) for me to suggest buying a gig of bh-6 for $215 to anyone.
Now, your purchase for $68 will be a great buy if the sticks perform just average for bh-5. That is about the cost of 2x256 Speed Premiums with UTT, but you can run yours at lower voltages, in addition to feeding them voltage, whereas the SP will only run 2-2-2 with high voltages.

most decent bh6(and mushkin is very good) will run 205-220 @2.2.2.5 with 2.8-2.9 volts. hi voltage is where bh6 really shines and since it is an older revision than the bh5 (17 micron i believe) it handles hi voltage very well.you can probably achieve 250-265 with 3.5 volts

I just about can't stand it. I'm going to have to go hunt me some now. And I swore I wasn't buying any more ram!
It is just that there is this empty spot on my shelf with the tag "Winbond BH-6" sitting there...all empty...all lonely. Got to go fix that.
Hope you get great results and share them soon.

Lol....why are you going for BH-6 reefa? UTT can compete and for half the price.

Because I've got this empty spot with its name on my shelf...why else?
And because I'm convinced bh-6 runs as good as ch-5/UTT or bh-5, when fed enough volts.
Besides, I would only get some if I could find a good deal on it. I have way more ram than I ever planned on getting. I have ram disease...which brings me back to an earlier post...its all flapper's fault!

Thanks for all the help
Reefa I might be looking at selling this ram when I go Celly D in about a month if I can't find a board that can be modded or just plain gives 3.3v to the ram like my current DFI Infinity does. I'll PM you if I do.
Also I'm not sure whether or not this is BH-5/6 or what but Someone has a 2x256mb set of Muskin PC-3500 level one, that looks like it will go cheap.
