OK, I bought the following PSU today because the price was just too good to pass up (gets me every time, I know). The PSU is Fortron-Source model # FSP300-60BTV (http://www.fsusa.com/Product/FSP300-60BTV.pdf) and it has a max of 200W on the 3.3V + 5v combined rails. Ideally I'd like to use it in my main rig, which consists of:
Mobile 2600+
4 x 80mm fans about 30-40 cfm on average
1 x 92mm Sunon High speed
1 x PCI blower fan
1 x 7200RPM IDE hard drive
1 x 5400RPM IDE hard drive (might take this one out)
1 x CD-ROM drive (also optional to take out)
1 x DVD/RW drive
1 x 3.5" floppy
1 x 4 channel fan controller
1 x 2 channel fan controller/temp monitor
1 x SB Audigy Platinum with 5.25" drive bay
1 x AGP 128 MB Radeon 9000 Pro
1 x DLink Wireless LAN
1 x 12" cold cathode
The fans will almost never be run at full speed, probably somewhere around half. I plan on OCing this sucker to the limit, I'm thinking 2.5ish for sure. Is this possible, or will I need something more? I'm also looking at 400w Sparkle FSP400-60GN (http://www.sparklepower.com/pdf/FSP400-60GN(12V).pdf) which has 35 more watts on the combined 3.3v + 5v rails (235 total). I also saw a cheap PSU today from EZ-Media, which I understand is made by a company called PMI which I know nothing about. It was 430w total and claimed 260w on the 3.3v + 5v rails, but seemed a little light (then again so do the Fortrons) and I was immediately skeptical. What options do I have here? I'm not too worried about future-proofing, I just want enough to comfortably power the rig above.
