Has anyone ever heard of the "NOISE CONTROL SILVERADO"?
If so, please let me know where to locate one.
I run Abit kt7a-raid w/ 1.33 266fsb AMD - temp is 46/47C at near idle.
I want to O/C but need to go cooler - hopefully w/o jumping in the water just yet.
Does anyone have thoughts on the best heatsink/fan combo out ther that is also quiet?
Appreciate all replies - THANKS

Best HSF that is quiet is an oxymoron. The Silverado and other quiet coolers, like Zalman, are borderline when it comes to cooling. They also tend to be a good bit more expensive than the current best HSF.

Silverado can be bought at www.plycon.com

Hey Red,
My other question was, does anyone have a favorite flavor for their choice of heatsink/fan.? What's your opinion?
And are you a USA guy, or do you work out in the sun alot?
(ie.Rednecktech)
Thanks again,

You in Florida and youse never heard of us rednecks? We just a little ways north and west of youse. In places like Georgia, Missi., Tenn., South Carolina, and Missouri.

Go pick up Jeff Foxworthy's You Might Be A Redneck If.. series of books.

As for what my favorite flavor of HSFs are... mmm even though I've had no experience with anything outside of this Thermaltake Super Mini Orb (which sucks) on this T-bird 900, I would have to say Thermalright SK-6.

So, are you a Georgia Peanut? Just kiddin!! But I think Texas could be considered a RN state also. Actually, I was born & raised in SO.CAl. - then transplanted to the swamps about 14 years ago. I miss the mountains & Pacific ocean.
Thanks for your help!!
