I bought a Antec EPS12 550 watt for my Dual Xeon setup in my sig. My 12volt rail seems low. Under no load at all with all hard drives unplugged I get 11.71 volts with my Multimeter and 11.73 volts with MBM5.

If I hook up all the drives it measures exactly the same voltage. My system seems stable except my 6800 video card once in a while says the voltage is too low and will reduce its speed to protect the card. I have plugged different Molex into the card. It has two connectors and they are both plugged in.

It is supposed to have 36Amps on the 12volt rail so I'm not sure what to do now.

Do you think I have a bum Antec? What kind of voltages are any of you other guys getting with this exact same Power Supply?

My True550 standard version reads 11.91 on the 12v rail even at idle. ...that is with a very good voltmeter. Asus probe reads about the same.

I thought this was a little low too...the version I have has 30A on the 12V rail.

The system seems okay though...so I guess its' normal. My Enermax had about the same reading (and it was a dual 12v 420W supply) so perhaps it's the motherboard.

I saw Antec's site lists the ATX2 versions now. Too bad i just bought mine a week ago! Seems they left out the rear exhaust fan in favor of the single interior one though, which I wouldn't have liked.
