I like to leave my comp crunching at night and how can I download more than 1 Wu to work with ( I don't have broadband)
Does this have to do with the cache size? thanks

If you're using the Screensaver version I really don't know how you cache WUs.

If you get the command line client you can get SETIDriver to cache some WUs for you. Then you can get SETISpy and monitor your process!

If you need to get these, check the link in my sig and head to the links section. :)

Here are the direct downloads you need Windows CLC (ftp://alien.ssl.berkeley.edu/pub/setiathome-3.03.i386-winnt-cmdline.exe), Seti Spy (http://pages.tca.net/roelof/setispy/SetiSpy.exe), Seti Driver (http://www.wakeassoc.com/setidriver/SETIDriver.zip) and here are the instructions (http://overclockers.ws/seti/Instr1.htm) you need to follow to get them up and running. If you are already running the above set the cache to 2-5 days worth of WU's.

If for some strange reason you decide to keep the GUI version (like I did), then you need to get either SETIMonitor or SETIGate. These are the ONLY 2 programs I know of to cache for the GUI. Also, definatly get SETISpy. Even if you stay with GUI, it takes major times to draw the pictures. Your times will decrease tremendusly if you just use Spy to look at what SETI is doing.

If you are doing CLC though, monitor and gate still work, but everyone (well.... most everyone) uses SETIDriver. I don't like it much (it's too plain for my taste), but it works just fine. Comparison downloading is the key.

BTW: You can find each of the programs I listed on SETI's web site, with all the "other" web sites.

thanks guy, I followed every step in the instruction and got them going .. sweet. I didn't get SETI driver to work with the CLC, that was the problem.
