I have an Elsa cardd with a heatsink that I am trying to take off. It has no pins but it is glued on. I want to replace it with a blue orb. How can I get this monster heatsink off? :(

I haven't done this myself so don't quote, or sue, me on this but many people with glued on sinks have said that they put their card in the freezer for half an hour and then just tapped the sink until it popped off. Although I'd wait until someone who's actually done this give you the advise befroe jumping into it head first.

Good luck.

Yea, put it in its anti static bag, and for a breif time (20 mins or so) put it in the freezer. I did it with my Radeon, worked great.

Save the old heat sink and use it for the ram on your video card
