hey, I have the notorious cannot find /system/hall.dll error, I tried deleting boot.ini and using bootcfg/rebuild, didn't work.
any ideas

Dont delete the boot.ini just open it up and make sure everything is pointing to the right place. Example boot.ini below:-
[boot loader]
timeout=1
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOW S
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
Make sure the partition number etc is correct.
