View Full Version : W2Kpro brand new retail but not including SP1 or SP2.
I cant believe I paid 270 bucks and this thing didnt even come with the SP updates. I wonder if its even worth it the try and return this package so I can buy another newer version? It sure takes a long time to update I like to reformatt every 3-6 months so this will be a major waste of time. OS are not typicaly something you can not return right, I wonder maybe I'll just call up the retail store tommorow.

you can download the service packs and save them somewhere safe. there is a way to make the install do the service packs at install time. I just can't think of how to do it right now.
The service packs are downloadable from Microsofts site for IT professionals...problem is they include the entire service pack and not just the parts that you need like when you do the Windows Update way. Service Pack 2 is 110 MB if I recall correctly.

I read that you are able to buy the service packs from Microsoft for 14.95 for the CD.

All I know is it took 2 hours for my little 56k to finish the download and install SP2.
